The Bordeaux Story, Explained

Wine Education • Communication • Expert Guidance

If you want more than a sightseeing tour — if you want to understand Bordeaux — you’re in the right place. We bring together wine knowledge of a lifetime, clear communication, and thoughtful guiding to help you experience this region with insight, context, and meaning.

Bordeaux is one of the world’s great wine regions — and, to me, the finest of them all. But its true character is found in more than famous labels and grand châteaux. It lies in the vineyards and soils, in agronomy and winemaking decisions, and in the people who shape each vintage.

My work is dedicated to helping you explore Bordeaux in a deeper, more insightful way than the usual, through private tours, educational tastings and workshops, videos, and written features.

As a WSET Level 3 (with Distinction) Awarded Bordeaux wine guide and communicator, I spend my time visiting châteaux, speaking with winemakers and vineyard teams, studying viticulture and agronomy, and sharing what I learn. I invite you to connect with Bordeaux through an approach that is curious, intelligent, welcoming, and free of pretension.

Whether you are visiting for the first time or returning to deepen your knowledge, you will experience outstanding wines, beautiful estates, and clear, engaging explanations of how Bordeaux wine is grown and made—from vineyard to cellar.

Every Bordeaux Américain tour includes a professional chauffeur as well as me, your dedicated guide. While your chauffeur handles the driving, I remain fully focused on you — providing context along the way, pointing out important features of the region, answering your questions, and helping you make connections between the estates you visit and the wines you taste.

My goal is not simply to provide another Bordeaux wine tour experience. It is to share what I have learned from the region’s winemakers, vineyard teams, proprietors, and cavistes, and to leave you with a better understanding of what you enjoy, why you enjoy it, and how Bordeaux’s vineyards and cellars shape that enjoyment to the fullest.

Finally, I will share what I learn through articles and videos exploring Bordeaux’s vineyards, winemaking practices, people, and wines. Some will appear here, while others may be published by wine, travel, and food publications. You’ll find links to my latest work on this site.
